Native Ambition: Invest In Yourself
Native Ambition was born from a turning point in my life.
After making the decision to get sober and invest in a better future, I entered a detox program that changed my life, but I didn't know exactly what my future would look like. As I was leaving detox, a nurse stopped me and said something that would stay with me forever.
She looked at me and said, "You know what you are?"
I said, "What?"
She replied, "You are a Native with ambition. You need to invest in yourself." Good luck Sir
Those words became the foundation of everything that followed.
After leaving detox, I started drawing a design on a Huggies box because it was all I had. I cut out a stencil and spray-painted the design onto a T-shirt. It wasn't perfect, but it was mine. One day a woman saw the shirt and asked if she could buy a tshirt with that design....That was the first time I realized something I created could inspire others.
Not long after, I crossed paths with a guy at a gas station who needed help. He asked for money, and I gave him a few dollars. He needed a little more, so he handed me a box as collateral and promised to come back for it. Later, he told me to keep the box, because he couldn't pay the money back
When I opened it, I couldn't believe what I found.
Inside was a single-color screen-print press for T-shirts.
What looked like a simple act of kindness became an opportunity that changed my life. To me, it felt like a sign that I was on the right path.
From those humble beginnings, Native Ambition was created.
Today, Native Ambition represents more than clothing. It is a reminder that where you come from does not determine where you can go. Our brand blends Indigenous culture, resilience, creativity, graffiti and streetwear into every design. Every piece tells a story of growth, identity, and believing in yourself.

Native Ambition would not be what it is today without the love, support, and belief of my wife. Even during the hardest times, she saw potential in me when I struggled to see it in myself. She encouraged me to keep moving forward, to never give up, and to continue investing in myself.
Though she is no longer here with us, her strength, faith, and love remain a part of every step of this journey. This brand is dedicated to her memory and the impact she had on my life.
